About The Position

US FOODS is seeking a Night Sanitation Worker to clean and maintain the division building and related property safely and efficiently. The role helps support the organization’s standards for reliability, integrity, teamwork, and service. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 PM until finish. The expected base rate is $20.54; compensation may depend on relevant experience or education, skills, function, location, and other applicable factors. Overtime compensation may also be available, as applicable.

Requirements

Must be able to read and communicate in English, hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

High school education or GED preferred.
Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
Empty trash bins and clean the trash area daily; operate the trash compactor when applicable.
Pull pallets and clean or scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
Clean spills and breakages involving inventoried products, recover damaged product, and determine whether it is resalable or must be disposed of under government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
Perform assigned light maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, collecting recyclables, picking up paper and shrink wrap, and checking freezers and coolers for leaks or ice buildup.
Prepare reports and forms documenting cleaning schedules, spills, and product damage; may track and order maintenance supplies.
Clean other warehouse and office areas, which may include break rooms, restrooms, test kitchens, and offices.
Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
Operate a scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift when required to perform duties.
