About The Position

Carolina Foods, maker of Duchess Brand snacks and a manufacturer of sweet baked goods, is hiring a Sanitation Worker to clean and sanitize production areas and machines. The schedule is 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The role works with other sanitarians and reports to a supervisor or plant management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Working knowledge of practices, materials, and equipment used in cleaning and maintaining the appearance of machines, building interiors, and furnishings.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks regularly or as needed without special instructions.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash out the mixer.
• Disassemble and wash the stick extruder.
• Clean the turner and the outside of the fryer.
• Clean gray containers and racks.
• Clean the bowl and hoist.
• Clean the scale.
• Clean the floor in the stick make-up area.
• Empty trash in the new building.
• Clean the enrober and glaze tanks on the stick line.
• Clean and sanitize all conveyors and the I.J. White cooler.
• Clean the white discharge conveyor and rollers.
• Clean all drains on the stick line.
• Wash gray containers and other utensils in the 3-inch pie area.
• Clean the mixer, tanks, and lines if they are not clean.
• Wash platinum's and clean the Asser machine.
• Wash floor drains in make-up areas.
• Clean floor drains in the 3-inch pies wrapping area.
• Boil out the honey bun fryer and wash the floor around the fryer.
• Clean sugar out of catch pans on the cooler.
• Remove hardened glaze from the cooler and wash the glazer.
• Wash transfer conveyors from the glazer to the monorail.
