About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Sanitation Worker in Lakewood, Washington. The role involves loading and unloading totes into a sanitizer, cleaning totes, and removing trash and labels. Workers may also perform general labor and construction-support tasks, including moving materials, assisting contractors, cleaning debris and hazardous materials, and cleaning and storing tools and equipment. Training is provided, and the position is offered as a temp-to-hire opportunity. The listed schedules are Monday through Friday, either day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or swing shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Overtime is available, and weekends are off. Weekly pay is $18.00 per hour, with direct deposit and debit card payment options.

Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Comfortable climbing tall ladders and working at elevated levels.
Positive attitude and work ethic.
Able to lift totes up to 40 pounds.
Able to work independently or as an active team member.
Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Able to pass a background check.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Laborer experience is preferred.
English and Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Load and unload totes into the sanitizer.
Clean totes and remove trash and labels.
Follow project instructions from a construction manager or supervisor.
Move materials from one place to another.
Follow health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
Wear required protective gear and clothing, including headgear, earplugs, gloves, and safety glasses.
Complete assigned tasks quickly and safely.
Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures.
Dig, move dirt, or compact spaces.
Provide assistance to contractors, including craft workers, electricians, and painters, as needed.
Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials.
Clean and properly store construction equipment and tools.
