About The Position

Lakeside Foods is hiring a Sanitation team member to support production operations. The role performs sanitation tasks, helps maintain cleanliness and appearance standards, follows safety procedures and good manufacturing practices, and works with team members and managers on varied tasks. The position is based at the company’s Owatonna location. Pay is $21.70 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and contribute individually and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in TAL, follow Lakeside’s Standards of Conduct, and contribute to operational and project teams.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish language skills; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety procedures and follow Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
• Follow the good manufacturing practices established at the location.
• Complete and fill out daily pre-operational sanitation forms.
• Fill in or assist with cleaning when needed.
• Assist with filling and starting equipment after cleanup is complete.
• Use a pressure hose for sanitation functions.
• Work as part of a team and perform various tasks recommended by the manager.
• Ensure the area meets established cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Maintain knowledge of M.S.D.S. sheets and labels for small containers.
• Perform other duties assigned or requested by the manager.
• Immediately notify the manager upon discovering unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the job, work area, department, and company.
• Participate in TAL by following Lakeside’s Standards of Conduct and contributing to operational and project teams.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and respect in business transactions and exchanges.
