About The Position

Watermark Baton Rouge is looking for a part-time Night Auditor, who would report to the Front Office Manager. The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions; reviewing, organizing, and compiling management reports on a timely basis and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. He/she is also responsible for effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management and performing guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations.

  • Ability to comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Ability to audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
  • Ability to input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
  • Ability to perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required.
  • Ability to keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.

  • Approaching all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, service-oriented manner and maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Greeting and welcoming all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Answering guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming when working.
  • The ability to follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  • Obtain all necessary information when taking room and handling check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
  • The ability comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
