About The Position

The Night Auditor works at the hotel front desk, serving as a key point of interaction for guests during late-night hours. The role operates with limited management supervision and is responsible for closing out the day's business, assisting guests with check-in and check-out during nontraditional hours, and helping maintain a safe environment by monitoring for abnormal activity and potentially threatening weather. The position suits someone who is proactive, responsive, caring, responsible, and comfortable working semi-independently.

Responsibilities

• Process credit card transactions and other daily transactions, including restaurant, events, and lounge transactions.
• Handle the phone system, transfer calls, and manage reservations.
• Verify, balance, and review hotel room availability.
• Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures.
• Administer guest payment policies and look for errors from day shifts.
• Prepare folios for guests departing in the morning.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the lobby and assist with morning breakfast setup if needed.
• Be familiar with all hotel emergency procedures.
• Monitor for abnormal activity inside and outside the hotel and monitor weather issues that could threaten guests.
