About The Position

The Night Auditor/Front Desk associate performs overnight audit operations to maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with hotel standards. The role coordinates with other departments, including Security and Housekeeping, to ensure quality service for guests. The position is at Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor, a full-service waterfront hotel with 270 rooms.

Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate calculations using a 10-key.
• Ability to address guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes or journals and breaking down revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out, and settlements by type and cashier.
• Run audit reports and journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and the computer.
• Make corrections and adjustments and handle computer problems that occur during the shift.
• Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports, including the Guest Ledger Summary and Daily Restaurant Summary.
• Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for the next day's operations.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as Security and Housekeeping, to support quality guest service.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
