About The Position

The Night Audit Supervisor oversees night audit operations to maintain financial controls and comply with hotel standards. The role coordinates with departments such as security and housekeeping to ensure quality guest service. The supervisor also supports guest satisfaction and may perform Night Auditor duties as needed to provide coverage and complete work accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key.
• Ability to deal effectively with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
• Ability to comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

• Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, maintain open communication, and recommend discipline or termination when appropriate.
• Supervise night audit and hotel associates, and review and verify their daily work.
• Supervise the balancing, reconciliation, and closing of daily accounts; prepare daily statements for management while maintaining proper controls.
• Control the Night Audit Bank.
• Review timecards daily and complete daily and weekly or bi-weekly payroll reports.
• Perform Night Auditor functions as needed to provide coverage and ensure timely, accurate completion of work.
• Prepare the daily activity sheet and report noteworthy events and serious accounting violations.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to customer issues, complaints, or problems to maintain customer satisfaction and quality service.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with other departments, including security and housekeeping, to support quality guest service.
