About The Position

Registered Nurses in the NICU provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and offer emotional support to patients and their family members. Nurses use independent and reasonable judgment while providing services within the scope of nursing practice. The role involves caring for patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress, prematurity, hypoglycemia, apnea, bradycardia, sepsis, temperature instability, and hyperbilirubinemia.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or another acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire.
• STABLE certification within 6 months of hire.
• One year of RN experience.

• NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and the public about health conditions.
