About The Position

The Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) is responsible for leading a team of specialty sales representatives within the Cincinnati District. This role requires a strong track record in sales management, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and the ability to develop and mentor a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will be goal-driven, possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen. This position involves significant travel and requires the ability to adapt to an innovative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry.
  • 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high performing team of specialty sales representatives.
  • Documented high performance of sales and leadership track record.
  • Driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Ability to secure and maintain reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Must reside near major airport within the district.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative work environment.
  • Experience in small company and start-up work environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Advanced degree a plus.
  • Other specialty experience will be considered.
  • Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
