About The Position

The Neurology Clinic Registered Nurse works in the Neuroscience department at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, communicates changes in patient condition, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and helps coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. The position is full-time on the day shift, with a stated schedule of 36 hours per week.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
