Registered Nurse - Neurology
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. The nurse will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to support the best outcomes for patients and their families. The role supports patients, families, and the healthcare team and contributes to patient well-being and recovery. The position is in the Neurology Unit at St. John Hospital, a 22-bed neuro step-down unit specializing in neurology patients and cardiac overflow. The unit cares for patients after interventions such as thrombectomy, TNK, and stents, and is equipped to manage cardiac drips. It has private rooms with built-in Avasys virtual safety monitoring cameras. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position scheduled for 36 hours per week: three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The schedule rotates every other weekend and observed holiday. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
