Registered Nurse (Neurology/Urology)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work on the Neurology/Urology unit, a 30-bed unit that includes 10 neuro observation beds and 4 beds dedicated to epilepsy monitoring. The unit has an average daily census of 24 patients. The patient population includes people undergoing cervical, thoracic, and lumbar fusions and microspinal surgeries; patients recovering from craniotomies; and patients with subarachnoid hemorrhages, aneurysms treated with coiling, cerebral or carotid stenting, strokes, and seizures. Urology patients include those undergoing cystoscopies, TURPs, and laparoscopic radical prostatectomies.
Requirements
- California RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting
