Registered Nurse (Neurology/Urology)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works on the Neurology/Urology unit, a 30-bed unit that includes 10 neuro observation beds and 4 beds dedicated to epilepsy monitoring. The unit has an average daily census of 24 patients. The typical patient population includes patients undergoing cervical, thoracic, and lumbar fusions and microspinal surgeries; patients recovering from craniotomies; and patients with subarachnoid hemorrhages, aneurysm coiling, cerebral or carotid stenting, strokes, and seizures. Urology patients include those undergoing cystoscopies, TURPs, and laparoscopic radical prostatectomies. Cottage Health is an acute care hospital system serving California’s central coast. Its system includes three acute care hospitals, a Rehabilitation Hospital, multiple clinics, and a multi-site Urgent Care system. Requirements
- California RN license.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting.
