About The Position

Segra is seeking a qualified and experienced Network Provisioning Engineer II to provide in-depth support for its networks, IP, and Ethernet networks. The role requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a functional area of the organization. This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office and allowing remote work two days each week. The position focuses on Layer 2 provisioning, including E-Line and ELAN provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting via CLI.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in networking engineering, or at least 4 years of Layer 2 provisioning experience related to E-Line and ELAN.
Strong knowledge of Cisco equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use a computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods.
Detail-oriented, with good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Effective interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, management, and team members.
Ability to prioritize and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment, particularly when handling time-sensitive issues and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Provisioning experience with Ciena equipment associated with SAOS 6, 8, or 10.
College degree in Engineering or a related field and 3–5 years of professional-level experience; or 6+ years of related professional-level Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years troubleshooting higher-level network hardware and provisioning.
6+ years in a network operations environment or a related job.
Extensive understanding of either the Data or Transport disciplines in the Skill Matrix.
