About The Position

The role is part of a neonatal care practice serving multiple levels of neonatal intensive care across the network. The 40-bed Level IV NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest ranks in the top 10 percent for overall parent satisfaction. The network also provides neonatal care at the Level III NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono and the Level II NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg. Teaching opportunities are available. The position is based at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and is onsite on the day shift.
Requirements
- Must be board eligible or board certified.
- Fellowship training is required.
- A current Pennsylvania medical license, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and procedures on term, preterm, and extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat critically ill preterm and term infants.
- Provide critical care to infants transported by air and ground from outside hospitals to the Level IV NICU.
- Participate in teaching activities; teaching opportunities are available.
