About The Position

The National College Leadership Program (NCLP) is a 5-month Manager in Training program designed for individuals interested in a career in operations management or sales. The program typically starts in July and prepares participants for immediate placement into an operations, production, or sales manager role within Encore's nationwide network of venues. Encore is a global event production company that creates live-event solutions connecting and inspiring people worldwide, with a customer-first and hospitality focus. They offer a wide range of event production services and have experienced significant growth, expanding their solutions to include in-person, virtual, and hybrid event experiences. The program emphasizes development opportunities, mobility, rewards, and an energizing culture, referred to as 'Focus on You'. Trainees will receive support and training, including access to cutting-edge technology, blended learning, and role-based development programs.

Requirements

4-year college graduate with a BA/BS degree.
At least 1 year of related professional work experience or a combination of employment/internships.
Strong interest in a management career with the opportunity for advancement and promotion.
Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills.
Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus.
Technical aptitude demonstrated through interest and exposure to new technology.
Ability to work at a hotel location within major metro markets.
Flexibility to relocate.

Nice To Haves

Preference for Hospitality, Business/Management, Communications, Event Management, Theater, or related field.
Prior experience in management, operations, technology and/or hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

Participate in Technical, Operations, and Sales rotations.
Engage in hands-on learning in venues alongside field leaders.
Complete instructor-led training at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.
Obtain certifications through online courses from ENCORE University Academies (Leadership, Technical, Operations, Sales, and Service).
Manage floor operations to achieve service excellence with a focus on customer service, staff leadership, performance management, and development (when placed in an Operations Manager role).
Achieve overall organizational goals through effective workforce and inventory cost control (when placed in an Operations Manager role).
Guide customers through event experiences, identifying solutions that meet their goals and objectives to create compelling event experiences (when placed in a Sales Manager role).
Utilize all available tools to ensure maximum event and revenue capture from the assigned customer base (when placed in a Sales Manager role).
