About The Position
Jovie is hiring experienced, engaging caregivers to provide in-home care for infants and toddlers with local families throughout Huntington Beach, California. The role offers full-time or part-time work, with flexible daytime scheduling. Most shifts occur between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM and are typically 6–9 hours. Monday–Friday availability is preferred, and assignments may involve one or multiple families depending on family needs, caregiver availability, and scheduling preferences. Most assignments involve infants and toddlers, though some may occasionally include older children. Caregivers provide safe, nurturing care, support feeding, naps, and daily routines, and encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities. They communicate with parents about the child’s day and create a positive environment where children can learn and grow. The position pays $20–$22.25 per hour, plus overtime pay. Eligible full-time team members may receive PTO, paid holidays, healthcare stipends, and retirement savings matching. The hiring process includes an interview, screening and reference checks, an offer if qualified, orientation and training, and matching with families suited to the caregiver’s experience and availability. Pay dates are every two weeks.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of infant childcare experience; qualifying experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings, but not experience working with family and friends.
- Love working with infants.
- Dependable and professional.
- Communicate well with parents and children.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Provide at least two references related to childcare work and one character reference.
- At least 18 years old.
