About The Position

East Wind Nannies is recruiting a full-time nanny for a family in McMurray, Pennsylvania, to care for their infant son. The position is expected to begin in early to mid-January 2027, with the family ideally seeking care through the end of 2027 or early 2028. The schedule is 32 guaranteed hours per week: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additional hours may be available for date nights. The hourly rate is $26–$30. The role centers on infant care, including feeding, tummy time, reading, walks, songs, naps, supporting milestones, and establishing a consistent routine that responds to the baby’s cues. As the child grows, outings to local parks, libraries, and museums are welcome. The nanny will also handle baby laundry, bottles, pump parts, and keeping the baby’s spaces stocked and organized. The older sibling is usually at daycare, but the family would appreciate flexibility to help when she is home sick or school is closed. Both parents work from home. The nanny and baby will primarily use the finished basement, which has a separate kitchen and living area. The family values a warm, dependable, communicative nanny who is comfortable working independently alongside parents at home, enjoys routines while remaining adaptable, and is affectionate and playful with the baby. The family offers two weeks of paid vacation, with one week chosen by the family and one week chosen by the nanny, as well as all major holidays off, including the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
