About The Position

A kind and organized family in the Rock Creek Park area of Chevy Chase, Maryland, is seeking a reliable, communicative, and proactive part-time nanny for three boys ages 9, 11, and 14. Both parents work from home, and the children have busy schedules involving school activities, tutors, sports, and social engagements. The nanny will help maintain the family’s organized after-school routine and provide a supportive, structured environment. The position is long term, with a minimum commitment of one year, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (20 hours per week). The start date is ASAP. Compensation is $30 per hour, with gas reimbursement for child-related transportation. Optional extended hours may be available a few times per month when the parents travel for work; these additional hours are not required.

Requirements

At least 2 years of childcare experience as a babysitter, nanny, or in a daycare setting.
Authorized to work in the United States.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to provide 2 childcare-related references.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and valid auto insurance.
Reliable vehicle for transporting the children.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents who work from home.

Responsibilities

Complete one load of family laundry daily, including folding and putting away clothes.
Drive the children to and from after-school activities; some carpooling is involved.
Prepare snacks and dinner.
Empty and clean lunch boxes.
Maintain and follow the family’s organized after-school schedule.
Perform light tidying and household upkeep related to the children.
Provide homework help and reminders for the youngest child.
