About The Position

A full-time, live-out lead Nanny is sought for a West Village family with four children ages 1–8. The three older children attend school from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the youngest child, age 1, is home during the day. An afternoon nanny works from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. to assist with the children’s busy schedules. The lead Nanny will partner with the parents and other caregivers, while also being comfortable caring for all four children when needed. The specific duties will be negotiated with the family. Generally, the role involves providing attentive, loving childcare and completing child-related tasks such as cooking, laundry, organizing, tidying, and light cleaning. The Nanny will help maintain planned schedules, handle school drop-offs and pick-ups, and participate in classes and activities. The role requires flexibility for evening coverage, overnights, domestic and international travel, and occasional coverage for other nannies. The family seeks a mature, discreet, professional, warm, upbeat, punctual, and detail-oriented caregiver who enjoys being active, takes initiative, and remains calm while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-expectation setting. The position guarantees 40 hours per week, with a general schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; the usual rhythm may be 48 hours. The family has other childcare support Friday through Sunday.
