About The Position

A happy and loving family on the Upper West Side is seeking a warm, experienced nanny for a long-term role caring for their infant daughter, born in July 2026. The nanny will provide consistent, nurturing care and partner with the parents by communicating openly, sharing ideas, and following the family's established routines and approaches. The role involves working one week on and one week off in each of the separated parents’ homes, which are within walking distance of one another. The family also spends time in New York City, Florida, and the Hamptons, and the nanny must be flexible to provide live-in support across multiple locations during the contract. The schedule guarantees 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday. Week One is 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Week Two is 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Occasional later evenings and bedtime support with advance notice are a plus, as is occasional weekend support with advance notice. The family is seeking a long-term commitment and is open to part-time hours during 2026 or a signing bonus to secure a preferred candidate ahead of the January 2027 start date. Duties include feeding and meal preparation as the child transitions to solids; bottle preparation and sanitation; establishing and following nap and sleep routines; hygiene and bathing; age-appropriate play and enrichment; outings to parks and classes; tracking developmental milestones; and child-related tidying, nursery cleaning, laundry, and food preparation. The family has two small dogs, and occasional dog-related tasks such as letting them outside to use the bathroom are required; dog walking is not required.
