About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth and enjoyment of music. The role also involves nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and providing an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead, students, and families to support student progress and build trusting relationships.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ or parents’ goals and communicate each student’s progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
