About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent Customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assist with Customer service as needed, and build long-term student relationships. You will also communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, building trusting partnerships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their children.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
Communicate student progress to students and/or their parents.
Share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
