About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and help each student continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role includes partnering with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, supporting Customer service as needed, and building long-term student relationships by creating a great experience. You will also communicate frequently with students and their families about progress and goals, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their children.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and embracing parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or their parents.
Frequently share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
