About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to provide private music lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, while helping them grow as musicians. The role includes building relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in music education, music performance, or equivalent experience, and at least two years of music teaching experience. Advanced music degrees, professional teaching memberships or certifications, and extensive experience teaching multiple instruments are preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s or doctoral degree in music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• 8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments: banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
