About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, helping them develop their musical abilities and build a lasting relationship with music. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role involves communicating with students and parents, setting goals, sharing progress, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention.

Music & Arts is part of the Guitar Center enterprise and operates more than 225 retail stores, 200 educational representatives, and 250 affiliate locations. The company emphasizes customer service, respect, integrity, and expanding access to music education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
