About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical growth and enjoyment. The role also involves providing an excellent Customer experience and contributing to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with students and their families through frequent communication, build trusting relationships, and share progress toward students’ goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area to be taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and their families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
