About The Position
This is a student worker position in the Music Department. The Music Lab Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the computer lab and recording studio, managing music library materials through filing and data entry, and checking out gear to student users. The role requires an understanding of recording studio equipment and computer literacy. Eligibility requires enrollment in a minimum number of credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (waived for first-semester students). Federal Work Study students will be hired utilizing those funds.
Requirements
- Completion of Music 2211 required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. (If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.)
- Understanding of recording studio gear and functions required.
- Computer literacy skills required.

Responsibilities
- Monitor the computer lab and recording studio.
- Check out gear to student users and assist students as needed.
- Check on condition and wiring of class piano laboratory.
- Data entry pulling and filing of materials from the Music Library.
