About The Position

The Multi Skilled Technician provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care as scheduled. The position works in Peri-Op and Endoscopy at Gulfport Main Hospital and supports work at the Surgery Centers in Ocean Springs and Cedar Lake.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Performs patient care services.
Ensures activities of daily living are completed as scheduled and documented.
Performs assigned or delegated technical skills according to standards.
Responds promptly to call lights as appropriate.
Participates proactively in implementing patient care plans.
Schedules patients for treatments, procedures, and/or tests according to standards.
Follows safety rules in patient care areas and maintains a safe patient environment.
Maintains patient data and records.
Communicates patient and family health care needs to the appropriate health care provider.
Reports significant events and information promptly to the appropriate team member.
Shares patient and family input with the appropriate team member to assist with planning.
Answers telephone calls and call lights appropriately and promptly, delivering information to the appropriate team members.
Maintains supplies and equipment in the assigned area.
Ensures patient care and unit equipment are in proper working order.
Performs courier services as requested.
Maintains adequate inventory of supplies.
