About The Position

Lancer Scott is seeking a Multi Skilled Fabric and Fire Door Technician to provide fire door maintenance for a large hospitality client, Premier Inn, across the Basingstoke area. The role is responsible for ensuring work meets applicable legislation, building regulations, service-level agreements, required standards, and the client’s quality expectations. The technician also carries out associated fabric work, including installing and making good plasterboard, skirting, and boxing in. The position involves assessing jobs and preparing quotes, coordinating materials and equipment, communicating with the client, maintaining job records and paperwork, and supporting account management and billing query processes.

Requirements

Experience in general building services maintenance work.
Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work successfully with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to produce clear, professional notes and emails.
Comfort working with multiple systems and maintaining accurate records.
A problem-solving mindset with a practical approach.

Responsibilities

Maintain fire doors for a large hospitality client, ensuring work meets building regulations, current legislation, required standards, and agreed SLAs.
Install and make good plasterboard, skirting, and boxing in across different spaces.
Assess each job and prepare a quote detailing the hours and materials required.
Liaise with the client about queries, technical product specifications, and job issues or challenges.
Certify that each job meets required standards and provide paperwork for client records.
Update job logs with notes and upload relevant documentation.
Request required materials and confirm with the helpdesk that deliveries are sent to the correct address.
Purchase additional materials and equipment when necessary.
Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management to assist the invoicing process.
