About The Position

Camp Fire Alaska is seeking a fun and engaging Multi-Site Program Staff member to help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and academic skills. This role involves facilitating hands-on, educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and structured play in a safely organized after-school program setting. The position supports Camp Fire’s mission to help youth find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are. The School Age Program runs from August to May, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Staff will work between 20-25 hours per week on average, supervising youth across various program locations within specified geographic areas. Additional hours may be required for meetings and trainings.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Ability to work 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Monday- Friday.
  • Ability to transport self to work and to the Camp Fire office for trainings.
  • Ability to work at a variety of site locations.
  • 1 year experience working successfully with children, in a group setting required.
  • Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid certification (paid for by Camp Fire after hire).
  • Food Worker Card (paid for by Camp Fire after hire).
  • Mandated Reporter training certificate (paid for by Camp Fire after hire).
  • Health & Safety certificate (paid for by Camp Fire after hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Training or experience in youth development, education, or recreation preferred.
