About The Position

Camp Fire Alaska is seeking an Assistant Site Director to help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and academic skills through hands-on, educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and structured play in a safely organized after-school program setting. This role involves supporting the Senior Site Director in planning, management, and supervision of an assigned site, and ensuring program quality through age-appropriate activities, coaching, and supervision of site staff. The position offers an opportunity to engage in work that supports Camp Fire’s mission to help youth find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.

Requirements

Minimum age is 21.
Ability to transport all program materials and supplies to site with ability to visit all sites as needed.
Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid (can be acquired after hire).
Food Worker Card (can be acquired after hire).
Mandated Reporter training certificate (can be acquired after hire).
Health & Safety certificate (can be acquired after hire).
Currently hold or have the willingness to acquire a minimum of twelve college credits (with at least 3 credit hours specific to early childhood education) in education, youth development or related field.

Nice To Haves

Professional experience directly related to licensed or accredited school age/camp programs.
Prior leadership experience.
Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Senior Site Director in planning, management, and supervision of an assigned site.
Supporting program quality with age-appropriate activities, coaching, and supervision of site staff.
Working between 30-35 hours per week (average).
