About The Position

Camp Fire Alaska is seeking an Assistant Site Director to join their team. This role involves playing with and helping children, facilitating hands-on, educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and structured play in a safely organized after-school program setting. The position supports Camp Fire’s mission to help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and academic skills, enabling them to see and reach their full potential. The Assistant Site Director will work between 30-35 hours per week on average, supporting the Senior Site Director in planning, management, and supervision of an assigned site, and ensuring program quality through age-appropriate activities, coaching, and supervision of site staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum age is 21.
  • Prior leadership experience required.
  • Ability to transport all program materials and supplies to site with ability to visit all sites as needed; required.
  • Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid (can be acquired after hire with agreed upon schedule).
  • Food Worker Card (can be acquired after hire with agreed upon schedule).
  • Mandated Reporter training certificate (can be acquired after hire with agreed upon schedule).
  • Health & Safety certificate (can be acquired after hire with agreed upon schedule).
  • Currently hold or have the willingness to acquire a minimum of twelve college credits (with at least 3 credit hours specific to early childhood education) in education, youth development or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience directly related to licensed or accredited school age/camp programs, preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
