About The Position

Camp Fire Alaska is seeking Program Staff to facilitate hands-on, educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and structured play in a safely organized after-school program setting. The role aims to help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and academic skills, enabling them to reach their full potential. This position offers a fun work environment where staff can play with and help children, supporting Camp Fire’s mission to help youth find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.

Requirements

Minimum age of 16 years old (prioritizing staff 18 and older due to licensing ratio requirements).
Ability to transport yourself to work (school site, Camp Fire office).
Flexibility in work assignment, potentially being sent to a different work location as needed.
Full shift availability is prioritized.
Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid certification (provided after hire).
Food Worker Card (provided after hire).
Mandated Reporter training certificate (provided after hire).
Health & Safety certificate (provided after hire).

Nice To Haves

Experience working with kids in a group setting.
Experience, training, or education in youth development, education, or recreation.

Responsibilities
