About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a part-time Multi-Instrumentalist Music Teacher to teach music lessons according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher helps students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also focuses on increasing and retaining student enrollment and providing an excellent customer experience. Pay is $16.90–$20.34 per hour at the non-teaching rate and up to $30.14 per hour at the total teaching rate, depending on background and experience. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as the child’s music teacher.
Share each student’s progress and goals frequently with the student and/or parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
