About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment, supporting students’ growth and enjoyment of playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also contributes to a positive customer experience and builds long-term relationships with students and their families.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share each student’s goals and progress frequently with the student and/or their parent.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
