About The Position
This is a hospital-based travel assignment in the radiology department. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI examinations, operating MRI equipment, acquiring and processing images, and documenting them in the EMR. The role also involves cross-coverage across modalities as needed, including fluoroscopy and the OR, and participation in on-call and weekend rotations.
Requirements
- Active ARRT MRI certification (MRI Certification verification acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Teaching facility experience required
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- Licensure: current MRI certification with license on file at time of submission
- Able to work in a hospital radiology environment with flexible scheduling and on-call requirements
Nice To Haves
- Teaching facility experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations with attention to image quality and protocol optimization
- Position patients, monitor safety, and administer IV contrast as ordered
- Operate MRI equipment (GE Optima 450w), perform setup, calibration, and quality control
- Acquire and process images; ensure complete and accurate documentation in the EMR (EPIC)
- Float to related radiology areas (fluoroscopy, OR) as needed and support other modalities when trained
- Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotations per schedule, maintaining patient-centered care
