About The Position

This is a travel MRI Technologist assignment in Kansas City, KS, for 13 weeks. The role involves performing MRI exams, ensuring image quality, and maintaining patient safety. The position is in a hospital setting and requires working 3x12-hour night shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. The facility is nicotine-free, and there is a 2-day orientation period. Credentials are due within 72 hours of offer.

Requirements

• Active ARMRIT certification or ARRT (MR) certification plus BLS
• 1–2 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience
• Technical proficiency with Philips Achieva 1.5T and Siemens 1.5T Sola
• Familiarity with Cerner, Unity PACS, and Interview PACS
• Availability for 12-hour night shifts with weekend coverage (Sat–Mon)
• Ability to travel
• CBC, DS, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer
• Credentials due Monday one week prior to start
• Must adhere to a nicotine-free facility environment

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams according to physician orders, ensuring image quality and compliance with protocols
• Position patients and coils, select appropriate sequences, and optimize imaging parameters for a variety of studies
• Screen for contraindications, monitor patient safety during scanning, and address patient needs and comfort
• Operate MRI equipment (Phillips Achieva 1.5T and Siemens 1.5T Sola) and manage image data flow through Cerner, Unity PACS, and Interview PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists to meet imaging requirements and document procedures in the patient record
• Maintain safety and infection control standards, including awareness of scanning patients with implanted devices
