About The Position

Fairfax Radiology Centers is hiring a part-time MRI Technologist for its outpatient MRI Center in Falls Church/Tysons, Virginia. The position works Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with no holidays or call. The center uses a GE 3T Premier and a GE 1.5T Artist. GE-specific training is provided for technologists with MRI experience on GE, Siemens, or Philips systems.

The technologist performs routine and specialty MRI exams, produces high-quality diagnostic images, follows MRI safety practices, and supports patients with clear communication and reassurance. The role also involves maintaining protocols and accurate PACS/RIS documentation and collaborating with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists in a patient-focused outpatient setting.

Success includes independently performing routine MRI exams, meeting radiologist expectations with minimal repeats, providing a calm patient experience, adapting to GE systems and site workflows, and integrating into the imaging team. Compensation is $41.65–$56.35 per hour, plus a shift differential. A structured career ladder offers opportunities for professional development and increased compensation. Requirements

• At least 6 months of MRI experience or completion of a formal MRI training program.
• ARRT (R) or MRI certification, or ARMRIT certification.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves
