About The Position

Cambria Mortgage is seeking a motivated, organized, and experienced loan originator to represent the company in Minnesota. The Mortgage Consultant originates residential mortgage loans by soliciting business through multiple channels, negotiating pricing in accordance with company profitability objectives, and complying with established lending policies and procedures. The role involves presenting Cambria Mortgage products to realtors, builders, and other housing-related businesses; pursuing and monitoring leads; identifying new business opportunities; and working with the operations team to achieve customer service, loan quality, and business targets.

This is a commission-eligible position that uses a draw-against-commission model. Starting pay is the Minnesota state minimum wage of $11.41 per hour. Earned commissions are calculated monthly and paid less the hourly base draw. The position requires travel to networking or client events and other Cambria locations. It is an office position that requires telephone and computer use.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of loan origination experience.
• Proven track record in mortgage sales.
• Knowledge of loan products and underwriting guidelines.
• State loan originator license.
• Ability to develop strong and lasting relationships.
• Effective and tactful negotiating skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet time deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, or a similar field.

Responsibilities
