About The Position

As a Mortgage Closer in Space Coast Credit Union’s Baytree Headquarters Processing Department, you will represent SCCU and help deliver high-quality service to members. You will prepare and transmit approved loans originated through the Express Mortgages function, support the Express Mortgages staff’s sales efforts, and ensure timely closings that meet member expectations. The position is hybrid, with two days per week required in the office.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of processing, closing, or banking experience.
• An associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Meet contract closing dates and adhere to productivity and loan quality standards.

Nice To Haves

• Mortgage closing or mortgage processing experience.
• Familiarity with TRID and investor guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and audit loan closing documents for accuracy and compliance with loan approval, investor guidelines, and regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and TILA.
• Ensure approval stipulations and pre-closing conditions are met; review asset documentation and final Closing Disclosures before closing.
• Coordinate closing details with title companies, attorneys, loan officers, processors, and applicants.
• Handle funding tasks, including reviewing signed closing packages, verifying accuracy, and disbursing funds when applicable.
• Manage a pipeline of 20–40 loan files while meeting contract closing dates and productivity and loan quality standards.
• Answer applicant questions about Closing Disclosures, loan documents, and escrow.
• Support the Express Mortgages sales team with product and service materials.
• Prepare and transmit approved loans originated through the Express Mortgages function.
