About The Position
The Montessori Guide leads a classroom and delivers an authentic Montessori experience that encourages children to be innovative and independent. The role implements the Montessori curriculum and facilitates engaging, interactive learning experiences; follows licensing guidelines and school and company standards to support children’s daily care; observes and assesses children, plans for their learning, and communicates effectively with families; and completes ongoing professional development in Montessori pedagogy and early childhood development. Candidates must be at least 18 and meet state education requirements, along with any additional school requirements.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Credentials as a Montessori educator from an accredited training program.
- Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field.
- Meet state education requirements; additional school requirements may apply.
Nice To Haves
- Montessori educator credential from a MACTE-accredited training program (MACTE preferred).
- Previous lead teacher experience.
