Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Wilkes-Barre, Dallas, Clarks Summit, Glen Summit, Scranton, Mountain Top, Pittston, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. Lap of Love is veterinarian-founded and owned and offers an alternative to in-clinic practice. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families during meaningful moments, practicing independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. The role averages three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
