About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving San Francisco North Bay, California, including Vacaville, Fairfield, Vallejo, Benicia, Napa, Concord, Novato, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. This veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with an emphasis on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a supportive culture. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. Veterinarians average three to four appointments per day, allowing time with families and less paperwork. The role includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The advertised part-time, two-day-per-week opportunity offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Subject to a post-hire background check and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
Travel to appointments in the San Francisco North Bay service area.
