Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time Mobile Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Ventura, California, including Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The organization provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for a two-day-per-week schedule, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates will be subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
