Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Baltimore, Maryland, including Annapolis, Pasadena, Glen Burnie, Severna Park, Edgewater, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families, practicing independently while remaining connected to a community of veterinarians and support professionals. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hiring and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Travel to appointments in the Baltimore, Maryland area and surrounding communities.
- Practice veterinary medicine independently while making use of available mentorship and support.
