Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Hamburg, Lancaster, Lockport, New York, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with a focus on meaningful care, professional fulfillment, and a balanced schedule. Veterinarians typically conduct an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Part-time schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. The veterinarian will practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed base salary of $45,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in clients’ homes.
- Conduct mobile veterinary appointments in the assigned service area.
