Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Rochester, Fairport, Webster, Pittsford, Irondequoit, Penfield, Canandaigua, New York, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with opportunities to practice purposefully and independently while receiving support from a community of veterinarians and support professionals. The position offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians receive comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities of two days per week offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Travel to appointments in the listed service areas and surrounding communities.
- Work with families during end-of-life care appointments.
