About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time Associate Veterinarian to provide mobile hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Cumberland, Pawtucket, Tiverton, Rhode Island, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with a focus on compassionate care, professional fulfillment, and personal freedom. The role involves an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day, allowing time to support families and spend less time on paperwork. Part-time schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. Veterinarians work independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
